Merges
One server often arrives twice: a Proxmox VM and the same host from Prometheus. The sync key includes the provider, so they are not merged automatically. Merge is a manual step.

Suggestions
Inventory → Merges. A scanner runs every 15 minutes over active resources:
| Confidence | When |
|---|---|
| High | Same IP and similar name or hostname; or the same provider id after an account rename (not for qemu/ / lxc/ / cluster-local ids). |
| Medium | Same IP, different name and hostname. |
| Low | Similar name or hostname without IP, including cross-provider. |
Names like Swarm-2 and swarm2 count as one token. Proxmox node-local disks (local, local-lvm) are not suggested.
- Scan now — do not wait for the timer (devops / owner).
- Accept — dialog: who survives, who is absorbed. Untick a member to leave them out.
- Dismiss — this match will not come back.
After a merge the card shows Sources. The next sync will not recreate a second card: the agent still knows the absorbed id.
From the catalog
Selection mode → tick ≥ 2 rows → Merge. Same dialog, no scanner suggestion.
Metadata is a shallow merge, tags are a union, project comes from the survivor (else the absorbed row). Notes and changelog move to the surviving card.
